Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVE NAIROBI

(Prepare for head spinning adventures, but first, some rest).
Upon arrival at JOMO KENYATTA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, you will be warmly received by our safari representative, who will welcome you to Kenya. You will thereafter be transferred to your Nairobi hotel for an overnight (Argyle Hotel – Bed & Breakfast)/equivalent.

DAY 2: EXPLORE NAIROBI

After a lazy breakfast, you will be picked by your safari driver guide for a full day Nairobi city excursion. The day will start with a visit at the Nairobi National Park then David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, followed by giraffe centre and then lunch at the Tamambo Restaurant. In the afternoon, a brief city tour where your guide will show you parliament building and other government offices within the CBD. Dinner and overnight at Argyle Hotel/equivalent.

DAY 3: NAIROBI - AMBOSELI (GET CLOSE TO ELEPHANTS)

On this day, we say our goodbyes to Nairobi and drive to Amboseli National park. Arrive Amboseli in time for lunch and check-in. Afternoon game drive will follow. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Oltukai Lodge (Full Board).

Big Five Tanzania Safari (9 Days)
DAY 4: DISCOVER AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Soon after breakfast, we start our full day game drive in Amboseli. Amboseli National park is known to be the home to large herds of Elephants and offers a great view of the Kilimanjaro. You will have your Picnic lunch at the observation hill and thereafter, continue with the game drive. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Oltukai Lodge (Full Board).

 

DAY 5: AMBOSELI - ABERDARES NATIONAL PARK

On this day after breakfast, we check out and drive to Aberdares National park. Arrive mid-morning for check-in and relaxation. In the afternoon, we head-out for an introductory game drive in the park in search of the park’s popular residents. Dinner and overnight at the Ark Lodge/Treetops Lodge/equivalent.

 

DAY 6: ABERDARES - SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

Immediately after a steaming cup of tea/coffee, check out and embark on your journey to Samburu National reserve. Arrive Samburu just before lunch for check-in and relaxation. After lunch - introductory game drive.

DAY 7 & DAY 8: SAMBURU SPLENDOUR (GREVY ZEBRA, SOMALI OSTRICH & BEISA ORYX)

Rise early for breakfast and thereafter, head out for an exciting full day game drive with lunch boxes. Samburu National reserve is a unique wildlife conservation haven famous for an abundance of rare species of animals such as the Grevy’s Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe,Generuk and the Beisa Oryx. Other wildlife species found here include the Elephants, Lions, Leopards, wild dogs and over 450 bird species.

DAY 9: SAMBURU - Lake Nakuru NATIONAL PARK

After a steaming cup of coffee/tea, depart for Lake Nakuru National park, regarded by avid birders as the greatest world ornithological spectacle on earth. Arrival is expected to be in time for lunch and check in. An introductory afternoon game drive will follow. The park is also a home of different wildlife species including being a sanctuary to the black, white rhino and Rothschild giraffe. Here we will have a chance to look out for some of the common species like the lesser and Greater flamingoes, African Fish Eagle, Tawny eagle, Green wood hoopoes, Cliff chat, Great white, pink pelicans among others. Dinner and overnight at Sarova L. Nakuru Lodge/equivalent (Full Board).

DAY 10: LAKE NAKURU - LAKE NAIVASHA

This being our last day in Lake Nakuru, we start our day with a steaming cup of Kenya Tea/Coffee and thereafter, we check out with a game drive on our way to Lake Naivasha. Arrive Lake Naivasha mid-morning for check-in and relaxation. In the afternoon, we head-out for a guided boat ride and a walking safari at the Crescent Island.

Lake Naivasha is the highest and purest of all Rift Valley Lakes at 1880M above sea level. This area is a bird watchers paradise with over 450 species of birds recorded. A small islet on the Lake is home to a number of wildlife.

Crescent Island is one of the most beautiful parks in Kenya and is often called Naivasha’s best-kept secret. Perfect for Wildlife Watching, Bird Enthusiasts, and all fans of the wilderness...

DAY 11: HELL'S GATE NATIONAL PARK (CYCLING & WALKING SAFARI)

After a lazy morning, we hop onto our safari vehicle and drive to Hell’s Gate National Park for a game drive, walking and biking safari. This is the only park in Kenya where these activities are allowed.
The park has intense geothermal activity within its boundaries, and is a remarkable quarter of the Great Rift Valley. It has spectacular scenery including the towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub clad volcanoes and belching plumes of geothermal steam making it one of the most atmospheric Parks in Africa.

DAY 12: LAKE NAIVASHA - MAASAI MARA

On this day, we say our good byes to Lake Naivasha and drive to the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve via Narok town. This is a scenic drive and you will have an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful sceneries and landscapes of the Rift Valley. Arrival in Maasai Mara is expected to be in time for lunch and check in. After lunch, we set off for an evening game drive in search of the park’s wild residents.

DAY 13 - DAY 14: EXPLORE MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

Soon after breakfast, we hop onto our safari vehicle and head out for an exciting full day Game Drive (with boxed lunches). Be on the lookout for animals such as Lions, Cheetahs, Herds of Elephants, buffaloes among many others.

Maasai Mara is a unique wildlife conservation haven, famous for its spectacular natural diversity of wildlife. The park covers an area of about 1510KM squared and is regarded as the land of breathtaking vistas, abundant wildlife and endless plains. The reserve is a photographer’s and naturalist’s paradise, with abundant of wildlife. Leopards are frequently encountered, endangered black rhino hide in dense thickets and large rafts of hippo and enormous crocodiles are found in the Mara River. The park is also a home to over 450 species of birds.

Optional Activities at an extra cost include: Balloon Safaris, Maasai village visit, Nature walk, Bush dinner, Bush breakfast and Sundowner.

DAY 15: MAASAI MARA - SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK (Border Crossing)

We say our goodbyes to Maasai Mara and drive to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania via Isebania border crossing point. Your Kenyan guide will drop you at the border around mid-morning for your immigration procedures. Our Tanzanian guide will be ready to receive you for an exciting adventure in Tanzania. Kindly ensure that you have all your travel documents ready for this procedure (i.e Visas & passports). Arrive Serengeti late afternoon for an exciting introductory game drive on your way to the camp. Arrive the camp before dark for check-in and relaxation.

Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Safari (5 Days)
DAY 16 & DAY 17: SERENGETI GAME VIEWING

Your Guide and private vehicle offer you the flexibility to structure your game drives however you choose. Head out at sunrise with coffee and a packed breakfast to make the most of the morning before returning to the camp for lunch or include a picnic lunch and spend the whole day immersing yourself in the sights and sounds of the Serengeti. For a different perspective of the landscape, book a hot air balloon safari and take to the skies for a unique and genuinely memorable sunrise experience. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge/Equivalent.

12 Day Tanzania Wildlife Safari
DAY 18: SERENGETI - NGORONGORO CRATER (GAME VIEWING)

Depart Serengeti very early in the morning with packed breakfast and lunch and drive to Ngorongoro Crater. After check-in at the entrance start descending the outer slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater until you reach rim of the crater with spectacular viewing point. Marvel at this UNESCO World Heritage Site and take photos before continuing on your journey. Seek out the resident wildlife which includes the black rhino, leopard, lion, buffalo among many others. You can have picnic lunch next to the hippo pool, where grunting rafts of hippos will keep you company while you refuel. Later in the afternoon we start our journey up the caldera walls to the rim and drive to the camp to freshen up, enjoy a drink in the bar and share all your exciting safari stories from the with your fellow adventurers before dinner. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena safari Lodge/equivalent.

DAY 19 & DAY 20: NGORONGORO - TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After a leisurely breakfast, begin your journey to Tarangire National park. Drive Southwest, through Rural Tanzania, until you reach the park gate, where your game drives start, exploring the riches of the park until you reach your camp. The park gives you an opportunity to explore the colossal baobabs, grassy plains and vast herds of elephant among other unique landscapes.

During dry season, Tarangire has the highest concentration of mammals in Tanzania and more than 550 species of birds to spot throughout the year. Our knowledgeable driver guide will lead you on game drives to see the park at a slower pace. For a completely different perspective an unforgettable early morning hot air balloon safari over the plains gives you the chance to soar silently over the wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Sopa Lodge.

DAY 21: TARANGIRE - ARUSHA KILIMANJARO AIRPORT

After your final safari breakfast, check out and make your way to your safari vehicle & drive to Arusha Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward travel back home.
