This 5day Uganda gorilla and chimpanzee itinerary gives you an opportunity to experience the best of Ugandan National parks without breaking the bank.
Bwindi National Park: It is a national park in south western Uganda. It covers an area of about 321KM squared and consists of both lowland and montane forest. Its only accessible on foot. The forest is a home to 120 species of mammals, 350 species of birds and 310 species of butterflies.
It is most notable for the 400 Bwindi gorillas, half of the world’s population of the endangered mountain gorillas. Fourteen mountain gorilla groups live in four different sectors of Buhoma, Ruhijja, Rushaga and the Nkuringo in the districts of Kanungu, Kabale and Kisoro respectively.
Kibale National Park: its located in Western Uganda and covers an area of about 766KM squared. It is an important ecotourism and safari destination, well-known for its population of habituated chimpanzees and twelve other species of primates.
